I started this blog to help change my life. The idea was that each year I’d pick a goal, pursue it, and check it off my bucket list.
After just a few months I discovered what had been missing: writing.
Within six months of launching this blog I quit my job to become a part-time freelance writer. A few months later I landed my dream job as Editor of HackSurfer.
That’s not to say there isn’t plenty of failure. There is, but this blog serves as a reminder to keep dreaming and to keep trying. To not do so, I think, would be a terrible waste.
This site came in large part from people, including my dad, asking why I don’t write anymore. As all parents, good friends, and inner voices seem to say when looking through that warped lens, I am the cat’s pajamas. It used to give me great joy, and it has given me that again. I hope to motivate myself to chase my dreams while, and this is equally important, amusing myself daily. If it rubs off on those who choose to follow me on this journey, that is all gravy.
